That's right! Canadian residents can fish in Ontario for free, 4 times a year. During these times you will not require a fishing licence.

Mother’s Day Weekend (May 10 & 11, 2025)
Father’s Day Weekend (June 14 & 15, 2025)
Family Fishing Week (June 28 – July 6, 2025

follow conservation licence catch limits
obey size limits and sanctuaries
